Preschool

Explorers Preschool will provide children their first positive educational experience. We follow the Saskatchewan Ministry Of Education- Play and Exploration early learning guide. Classes run Sept-May with 10-14 children per class.

Play is recognized as the child's method of learning about the world. Classes will offer a variety of firsthand experiences using play-based learning.

1. Tuesday/Thursday 9:15 to 11:30 am class - Children must be at least three years old by November 30, 2021 and be fully potty trained to register in this class. 10-14 spots

2. Tuesday/Thursday 1:00 to 3:15 pm class - Children must be at least three years old by November 30, 2021 and be fully potty trained to register in this class. 10-14 spots

Owner/Teacher

My name is Shelley or Mrs. Bettker. I am the operator of Explorers and the teacher at Explorers Preschool.

I have a Bachelor of Education and I love working with children. Early childhood education is my passion and creating lifelong learners is my goal. I try to create opportunities for exploration and

learning by establishing engaging environments where students feel safe, comfortable, and confident.

I am dedicated to teaching students through hands-on experiences and play-based learning.

Outdoor enrichment curriculum!

Explorers Preschool is the first school in Saskatchewan to be a certified TimberNook school. TimberNook provides nature-based play experiences for children that challenge the senses and inspire creativity, independence, and imagination in the great outdoors.

TimberNook curriculum gets children moving, exploring, and thinking in new creative ways that simply cannot be accomplished inside the classroom. TimberNook provides innovative outdoor play experiences for children that challenges the mind and body.

The TimberNook weekly curriculum is restoring play and it’s benefits to education. Nature is the ultimate sensory experience! These experiences allow children to participate and learn at their own pace.

There really are no words to fully describe how wonderful Mrs. Bettker is. She has created the most beautiful preschool space, but the best part about the preschool really is the teacher.
