VISION
At Explorers Forest School, we believe childhood is shaped through time outdoors—through play, relationships, and direct experience with the natural world. We see children as capable, curious, and full of potential. When given unhurried time in nature, they develop confidence, resilience, creativity, and a deep sense of belonging. Our learning takes place on a 160-acre prairie and forest landscape just outside Saskatoon. This land is at the heart of our work. The seasons, weather, plants, and wildlife are not background to learning—they are the context for it.
Children spend their days outside in all seasons, exploring, observing, moving, and engaging with the world around them. Learning emerges naturally through experience, relationships, and sustained time in nature.
We are Forest School practitioners who walk alongside children as they play and discover. Our role is to support safety, hold space, and trust in the learning that unfolds when children are given freedom, time, and meaningful connection to the natural world and to each other.
At Explorers Forest School, we value time in nature above all else. It is here that children build friendships, develop confidence, and grow into themselves.
We offer year round programs- Forest Adventures, Trailblazers, Explorers Preschool, and Before and After School Care. We also one week summer camps. Our little Sprouts program is offered seasonally.
